In the same week that we have a new report from the prostitution committee we have some more selective complaints on television and in a national Newspaper.
The complaint was about a brothel in the “GOOD” part of town in Wellington. Why does their never seem to be any complaints from the “POOR” parts of town. The writer seems to be under the false impression that only sad and desparate men go to brothels but as anyone who knows will tell her, most of the customers are normal men from all walks of life. If she took the time to work in a brothel for a while she would find this out.
Of course their is a male fascination with prostitutes and that is because we are built that way and even some women visit prostitutes so what would she say about them?
In the end most of the complaints are based on moral issues and not legal ones, the complainers don’t have real complaints about traffic or actions of customers because if they did they would report them to the police. Would the people who complain rather have a bunch of boy racers in their street or a few quiet men driving up the street occasionally.
I would hazard a guess that one of the complainers knows someone on the “beltway” (ha ha) to be able to get it on “close up” and in the “Sunday Times” as well.
Its too late now the clock will not get turned back so Get Over It ???
Why don’t we see anything about the good things that have come out of the new laws, like Health and safety, Tax etc. from the news reporters?
