I now realise why trafficking has been in the news in New Zealand. Its because someone made a fictional movie in Australia and they found a couple of people who had gone to court and been convicted of a crime. It suited the purpose of the film for the court cases to be labeled trafficking.
The people involved will now be looking for evidence of trafficking of prostitutes over here because based on the figure given in the fictional movie their must be at least one case of prostitute trafficking in NZ. Just because some of the girls get into debt by going to the casino and have to keep working to pay back the loan some people will try and call it trafficking. I know of one girl who regularly lost her money at the casino and had to leave her passport behind when she borrowed money but she kept going back until her visa ran out.
I hope the authorities ignore this bullshit and concentrate on protecting New Zealanders from murdering bag snatchers and liquor store robbing murderers instead.
