The council in ChCh is doing what councils do and looking at ways of stopping someone doing something instead of helping them to go about their businessHere we have a council paying money so they can find a way around the laws of New Zealand. A bit like the Auckland council shutting down premises by lying to brothel license applicants. In the latter case the applicants had to pay the council so that the council could close them. Obviously the Christchurch council needs lessons from the Auckland council.
What a twisted country we live in sometimes.
At the other extreme we have people in Wanganui wanting to change a name because they dont think it is correct. Considering the people who named the city in the first place did not have a written language at the time I dont know how they can turn round now and say it is spelt wrong….
