The Auckland council is still trying to gain control of the sex industry. They want their health and safety officers to be the link for other agencies. The sex industry in Auckland already has a link to “Other Agencies” it is called NZPC and they are more helpful to the sex workers than the Auckland Council. The NZPC does want to help them as opposed to the Auckland Council who want to “Control” the workers. The Council says they have anecdotal evidence but they forget that one council staff member talking about something to another council worker does not really constitute “Anecdotal Evidence”.
This is the same Council that spends $54 million dollars on a computer system that doesnt work properly. The Auckland City Council should stop trying to control everyone who is a sex worker and stop wasting our money, they should just do the job they are paid for.
Why is the Council trying to do the job that OSH already gets paid to do (Reaching out to International students) what a lot of bullshit. Someone is Empire Building at the Auckland City Council.
